Why is Ganeshwar Dham famous? It is about Ganeshwar located near Neem Ka Thana and known for old Shiv Temple, holy Galav Ganga Kund and civilization.
Ganeshwar Dham has a special importance in the form of a pilgrimage. This land is considered to be the land of Lord Shiv, and its name, Ganeshwar, is also named after the God of Gana, that is, Bholenath.
Although there are various temples here, the most ancient one is the temple of Lord Shiv, because of which this place got its name, Ganeshwar. The Shivlinga of this temple is made up of black stone and is thousands of years old.
This land is also famous as the Tapoobhumi, or penance ground, of Sage Galav. The proof of this is the presence of the Kund near the temple. This kund is known by the name Galav Kund.
There is a Gaumukh, which is a structure like a cow's mouth, present in the Kund, from which water falls throughout the year in the form of Galav Ganga.
The water flowing out of the Gaumukh is naturally lukewarm. If we talk in the respect of faith, then it is said that all kinds of skin diseases get cured after taking a bath in the Kund's water.
Here on the mountain, various big havelis made of stones are present, from which only a few are safe and in good condition; others are dilapidated and are converted into bat houses.
Ganeshwar is an important place historically as well. Here, the archaeological department has found remains of an ancient civilization dating back to 2800 BC. This civilization is called the mother of the Copper Age civilization and is also called the Pushkar of archeology.
