Why is Kadamb Kund Baori famous? It gives information about the ancient Kadamb Kund Stepwell near Garh Ganesh temple in Jaipur with its history.
Kadamb Kund or Kadamb Baori is present a little ahead behind Gaitor's chhatris in Jaipur. Surrounded by dense trees on all sides, this place is surrounded by mountains on three sides.
Wherever you look from here towards the mountains, you can see natural beauty far and wide. Three small and big Kunds are built here.
These three Kunds are built in a line, separated from each other in such a way that after the first Kund is filled, the second Kund fills, after the second, the third and after the third, the water flows further.
If we talk about the construction of the Kund, then it was definitely built during the princely era and probably seems to be from one or two centuries ago.
Under the Mukhyamantri Jal Swavalamban Yojana, it was cleaned and garbage and mud was removed from it.
When these Kunds are completely filled during the rainy season, their depth cannot be estimated properly. Actually, these Kunds are about 40 feet deep.
Bathing in such a deep Kund is very risky. Accidents have also happened here once or twice. So, whenever you get a chance to go here, stay away from water.
