Why is Dhuni Mata Mandir Dabok famous? It is about Dhuni Mata Mandir in Dabok Udaipur which was built by Maharana Uday Singh's Guru Jagan Rawal.
Hinglaj Mata has been seated in the form of Dhuni Mata for about 500 years on the Nahra Magra hill in front of Maharana Pratap Airport in Dabok area of Udaipur, which is called Dhuni Mata Hinglaj Bhairav Bhavani Shaktipeeth Nahra Magra Parvat Dhooneshwar Dham.
The devotees coming to the temple consider the temple to be very miraculous and tell that Mata fulfills the wishes of all the devotees like someone has got the happiness of a child and someone has got a job.
People believe that when thousands of people became unemployed due to the closure of Udaipur Cement Factory in the year 2002, then by doing special worship of Mata, this factory started again in the year 2012 and thousands of people got employment again.
It is said that when Maharana Udai Singh was getting the Udai Sagar Lake built, a saint Jagan Rawal used to live on a hill near the lake.
Devda Rajputs used to live mostly in this area and they considered Saint Jagan Rawal as their Kulguru. When Maharana Udai Singh met the saint, he was also impressed by him and made him his religious guru.
When the lake was built, the saint established Raj Bhairav on its bank and left this place and came to Nandvel walking along the Bedach river. He established Nandvel Mahadev in Nandvel.
After this, he came and started living on Nahra Magra hill. Here he built this temple of Dhuni Mata and installed Hinglaj Mata and Bhairav in it. It is said that Saint Jagan Rawal brought the flame of Hinglaj Mata from Balochistan of Pakistan for the establishment of Mata.
In his last days, Saint Jagan Rawal took Samadhi alive at this place. This is the place where once Maharana Fateh Singh's Guru Dev Rawal also used to live.
Even today the cenotaphs of Devda Kulguru Jagan Rawal, Dev Rawal and many other Gurus are present in the temple premises. A cave or tunnel is also said to be present in the temple premises.
