Why is Logri Mataji of Kolyari famous? It is about Logri Mataji near Kamalnath Mahadev in Jhadol, Udaipur who considered protector goddess of Kolyari village.
Logri Mataji is seated on the top of an 800 meter high mountain in the hills of Avargarh near Kolyari village of Udaipur.
The people of the village have immense faith in Mataji and she is worshiped as the protector goddess of Kolyari. In Gujarat, this Mataji is worshiped as Brahmani Mataji.
In the hills of Avargarh, Kamalnath Mahadev is on one side and Mata is seated on the other side. Let us tell you that Avargarh is the place where Maharana Pratap lived after the battle of Haldighati and Kolyari is the village where the soldiers injured in the battle of Haldighati were treated.
The temple is in a dense forest surrounded by hills and the way to reach it is also very difficult. While climbing the steep mountain, there are some places where one has to cross deep ditches and sharp stones on both sides only by using a small path.
Despite the path being very difficult, it is said that due to the blessings of Mata, no accident has happened till date. There is also a stepwell built here which is always filled with water.
There are large hives of bees around the peak of the mountain which are considered to be the army of Mataji. It is said that these bees have not attacked any devotee till date.
It is said that in old times when there was a robbery in the village, then this army of bees of Mataji used to come on both sides of the village and protect the village from the robbers.
